Description
Dr. Brux is a practical self-modeling bite indicated to protect the teeth from bruxism or grinding.
Anatomically shaped for maximum comfort thanks to a special thermoplastic material with two different hardness levels. The first, the sidewall, provides stability and comfort; the second, the occlusal surface, creates a support surface that facilitates the sliding of the teeth during grinding and makes the bite resistant.
Made of thermoformable material. Immerse Dr. Brux in boiling water for a few seconds and insert it into your mouth to create a bite that adapts to your teeth, providing great stability and comfort. Thanks to the "calibrated" occlusal thicknesses that help bring the jaw into a resting position, muscle relaxation is facilitated. The thickness of the bite creates a lengthening of the muscles and therefore a reduction in the forces exerted by the masticatory muscles.
Hygienic and colorful, it comes with a protective case and is made in four different colors to be easily recognized within a family unit.

How to use
The adaptation must take place on the teeth of the upper arch.
Hold the “Cross-Shaped System” adaptation device and insert it into the Dr. Brux Bite. Before proceeding with the customization, try inserting the bite into your mouth to become familiar with the subsequent maneuvers.
In a saucepan, bring about 500 ml of water to a boil: the temperature should reach 100°C (do not use the microwave to boil water). Remove the saucepan from the heat or electric stove. Holding the customization device as illustrated, completely immerse the splint in the boiling water (100°C) for 6 seconds (using a stopwatch). Remove the splint and shake it vigorously to remove any residual water. This will keep the splint warm but not burn.
Slightly widen the sides of the bite to facilitate insertion over the teeth. Caution: Avoid bending the sides inward and biting them. Insert the bite into your mouth, gently closing your teeth, keeping the adaptor in place. With your lips closed, inhale and suck firmly for at least one minute to eliminate air from your mouth. This will create a vacuum and the sides of the bite will adhere perfectly to the outer and inner surfaces of your teeth, thus achieving an optimal bite shape. Simultaneously, press your fingers against your cheeks to ensure the outer part of the bite adheres to your teeth. After about a minute, remove the bite from your mouth and immerse it in cold water for at least two minutes. Then remove the adaptor and the bite is ready for use.

If Dr. Brux feels unstable, repeat the customization process, paying closer attention. To improve the customization, if the modeling has not been precisely adjusted to all parts of the bite, we recommend repeating the process, immersing the bite only in the affected area using one of the four attachment points on the adaptation device.
Do not throw away the adaptation device because, if the dental situation changes, it will be possible to reshape the bite.
If any burrs or creases in the material occur after customization, remove them using scissors or a cutter.
If Dr. Brux is too long, shorten it near the pre-cut using scissors or a cutter.

After use, before storing the bite in its case, rinse it with a toothbrush under cold running water. For proper hygiene and cleaning of Dr. Brux, we recommend thoroughly disinfecting it weekly to prevent bacterial growth caused by dental plaque.

Warnings
The use of the Bite is recommended in the presence of permanent teeth.
In case of marked dental or gum dysfunction, in the presence of fixed or removable orthodontic appliances, or removable dentures, ask your dentist for advice before using Dr. Brux.
Do not reshape the bite more than 10 times.
Do not use the microwave to heat water.
Never wash the bite with boiling water.
Avoid storing the bite near heat sources.
Do not use the bite with the customization device inserted.

Conservation
Store at room temperature.
Shelf life when packaged intact: 60 months.
