Description
Muscle contractions of the uterus are the cause of menstrual pain that affects the lower abdomen and back.
ThermaCare For Menstrual Cramps provides therapeutic heat that relaxes the abdominal muscles to provide relief from menstrual cramps and associated back pain.

How to use
Open the pouch when ready to use. ThermaCare can take up to 30 minutes to reach its therapeutic temperature. Remove the protective paper to expose the adhesive side. Place on the painful area, applying the adhesive side to your underwear, not your skin (some of the patch may leak through your underwear). For maximum effectiveness, we recommend wearing ThermaCare for 8 hours.
The product can be disposed of hot or cold in normal household waste.

Warnings
Do not use:
• if the contents of the cells leak and/or the band is damaged;
• with medicated creams or ointments, plasters or other heat sources;
• on scratched or grazed skin;
• on bruises and swellings that appeared in the last 48 hours;
• on areas of the body insensitive to heat;
• by people who are unable to follow all the instructions for use or who are unable to remove the product by themselves, including children and elderly people who are not self-sufficient.

Consult your doctor before use if you have diabetes, circulatory problems, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, or are pregnant.
This product may cause burns, to reduce the risk:
• Check skin periodically for signs of irritation or burns and discontinue use immediately if any are found.
• If you experience excessive heat, discontinue use or wear ThermaCare over clothing, not in direct contact with your skin.
• Over the age of 55, the risk of sunburn increases with age, do not wear ThermaCare while sleeping.
• To avoid an increased risk of burns, remove the product before undergoing MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans.
• Do not use for more than 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
• Do not apply excessive pressure to the product, or wear it under tight clothing or belts.

Discontinue use and consult a doctor if pain increases or remains unchanged after 4 days and if you notice discomfort, irritation, burning, swelling, redness, or any other persistent changes to the skin in the area where the product was worn.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
The heat-generating cells contain iron (~2 g). If iron comes into direct contact with skin or eyes, remove the band, rinse thoroughly with water, and consult a doctor immediately. If accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor.
Avoid heating the product in any way (e.g. microwave) or attempting to heat it, as the band may catch fire.
Do not use after the expiration date shown on the package and label.
