Description
Medical Device Class CE IIa (Dir. 93/42/EEC). Sterilized by ethylene oxide.
Enteral tube nutrition. Administration system consisting of an empty bag in ethyl-vinyl-acetate (EVA), filled from above, and an integrated infusion set, length 230 cm, for connection to the nutritional tube. The infusion set is equipped with the specific ENFit connector for enteral nutrition both for connection to the tubes and for connection of the lateral access.
For Infinity and 800 sets.
The device is free of latex and phthalates.
Recommendations
Tube feeding should only be started after the correct position of the tube has been validated (e.g. by measuring the pH of the gastric contents). Follow aseptic practices when handling food, tubes and feeding sets. Flush the tube before and after administration of food and medications, and at least 3 times a day. Sets should be changed every 24 hours. In the case of powdered foods the withdrawal time is only 8 hours due to the risk of contamination.
