Description
Sterile solution for ophthalmic use with a physiological pH, dispensed in a 10 ml multidose container, without preservatives.
The main action of the device is to lubricate and hydrate the ocular surface, thanks to sodium hyaluronate.
FORMULA EYE DROPS HYDRA&PROTECTION is indicated in case of dry or irritated eyes.
The sodium hyaluronate contained in the solution gives the product mucomimetic and viscoelastic properties, ensuring adequate lubrication of the ocular surface, protecting it from the friction generated by eye movements. For this reason, it soothes dry and irritated eyes. Furthermore, the polymer is able to retain water while simultaneously interacting with the ocular epithelium. Therefore, the solution is able to keep the ocular surface moist, refreshes dry and irritated eyes, and increases the stability of the tear film, protecting the ocular mucosa from external agents.
The formula also contains: distilled waters of Ginkgo biloba, Centella asiatica, blueberry, and fennel for a hydrating effect, sodium chloride, and two buffer systems (boric acid and sodium tetraborate decahydrate) to ensure a physiological solution. HYDRA&PROTECTION EYE DROPS FORMULA can be used by contact lens wearers. It is compatible with contact lenses.
How to use
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use.
- Remove the safety seal before proceeding with the first administration.
- Remove the protective cap and open the bottle.
- Squeeze the container and instill 1-2 drops in each eye; do not apply more than 10 doses (1-2 drops per eye) per day.
- After dispensing the first drop, wait a few seconds before squeezing the bottle again. This will allow air to return to the system, making it easier to dispense the next drop.
- Due to the intrinsic characteristics of the dispenser bottle for preservative-free solutions, as the bottle gradually empties, it may be necessary to apply greater pressure to allow the product to escape. A small amount of solution always remains inside the bottle.
- After use, shake the bottle to remove any excess product before replacing the cap on the container.
- After use, immediately close the bottle with the cap.
- If, after use, the bottle is crushed, wait for it to return to its original shape before closing it with the appropriate cap.
- Do not touch the applicator tip, not even with your eyes or fingers.
Components
Sodium hyaluronate 0.4%, Ginkgo biloba distilled water (Ginkgo biloba), Bilberry distilled water (Vaccinium myrtillus), Fennel distilled water (Foeniculum vulgare), Centella asiatica distilled water (Centella asiatica), boric acid, sodium tetraborate decahydrate, sodium chloride, water for injections.
Warnings
- The product contains the following CMR substances in concentrations greater than 0.1% w/w: boric acid and sodium tetraborate decahydrate. The product is not suitable for children, pregnant women, or breastfeeding women.
- The product is for ophthalmic use only.
- The product is for single-patient use.
- Do not use the product if the bottle is damaged or not perfectly closed when first opened.
- Do not use the product if there are visible particles and/or changes in the color of the solution.
- During application, do not touch the eye or any other surface with the dispensing end of the container.
- Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.
- In case of side effects, stop treatment and consult a doctor.
- Do not use in case of known incompatibility with any component of the preparation and/or Ericaceae plants and/or Apiaceae plants and/or Anacardiaceae plants and/or poison ivy and/or celery.
- No interactions with drugs or other eye drops have been reported; in any case, wait at least 15 minutes before administering any other eye drops.
- Dispose of the product in accordance with local waste management regulations.
- Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
- Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- For external use only, do not ingest.
- Do not attempt to tamper with or remove the nozzle from the bottle.
- You must report any serious incident relating to the device to the manufacturer and to the Competent Authority of the Member State in which you are established.
