Description
Hylo Dual Intense is a sterile, preservative-free solution for ophthalmic use. It is used for the intensive therapeutic lubrication of the dry ocular surface and for stabilizing the tear film. It relieves inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning.
Burning and itching, tearing, a foreign body sensation, or dryness are symptoms of an irritated eye. These signs often indicate that the eye is not adequately hydrated. Thanks to the dual action of sodium hyaluronate and ectoine, the application of Hylo Dul Intense is particularly beneficial in these cases. The product contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in many organs of the human body, including the eye. It has the unique physical property of forming a uniform, stable, and long-lasting moisturizing film that is not easily removed after rinsing. Thanks to these bioadhesive properties, the cornea and conjunctiva are protected and, together with natural tears, ensure a smoother glide of the eyelid over the eye. Hylo Dual Intense has a particularly high sodium hyaluronate content, which gives it high viscosity. The eye is thus provided with a soothing, particularly intensive moisturizing film that lasts for a long time. Persistent or more severe discomfort is alleviated, and the eye is protected from further irritation. Ectoin is a natural substance extracted from microorganisms that live in extreme environments (such as salt lakes). To protect themselves from extreme environmental factors, these microorganisms produce ectoin, a natural substance whose special properties are utilized in Hylo Dual Intense. Ectoin increases the adhesion of water to the cells of the ocular surface, thus creating a physiological barrier on the conjunctiva. At the same time, ectoin stabilizes the fat-soluble portion of the tear film, which protects against excessive tear evaporation. The interaction between sodium hyaluronate and ectoin creates a dense moisturizing film on the eye that protects against tear evaporation for a long time. Hylo Dual Intense relieves typical inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning caused by environmental irritants.

How to use
Remove the cap before use. To remove the cap, hold it firmly with one hand and twist the bottle downward with the other. Before the first application of Hylo Dual Intense, turn the bottle upside down with the dropper facing down and press the bottom of the bottle to release the first drop. The bottle is now ready for subsequent applications. Hold the bottle upside down with your thumb on the top of the bottle and your other fingers on the bottom. Support the hand holding the Comod bottle with your free hand. Tilt your head back slightly, gently pull your lower eyelid downward with your free hand, and quickly and firmly press the bottom of the bottle. This activates the drop release mechanism. Thanks to the Comod system's special valve mechanism, the size and speed of each drop are always the same, regardless of the pressure applied. Close your eyes slowly to allow the fluid to spread evenly over the ocular surface. After use, immediately replace the cap on the bottle, ensuring there is no liquid residue on the dropper. During instillation, avoid any contact between the dropper and your eyes or facial skin.
The Comod system releases 10 ml of solution, equivalent to approximately 300 drops. For technical reasons, a small amount of solution always remains in the bottle after use. Hylo Dual Intense has no time limit.
Hylo Dual Intense should be used according to these instructions for use or in individual cases, as directed by your doctor. In general, for adults and children over 6 years of age, apply 1 drop of Hylo Dual Intense 3 times a day into the conjunctival sac of each eye.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding and in children under 12 years, Hylo Dual Intense should not be administered more than 10 times a day.

Components
1 ml of Hylo Dual Intense contains 2 mg sodium hyaluronate, 20 mg ectoine, boric acid, borax and water for injections.

Warnings
Use only if the outer packaging is sealed and intact before use.
It is advisable that the bottle is intended for the treatment of one person only.
If using any other eye drops, wait at least 30 minutes between applications and always use Hylo Dual Intense last. Eye ointments, however, should not be used while using Hylo Dual Intense.
Because Hylo Dual Intense eye drops contain no preservatives, long-term treatment is particularly well tolerated. Hypersensitivity reactions (burning, excessive tearing) have been observed in very rare cases, but these disappear immediately upon discontinuation of Hylo Dual Intense.
Hylo Dual Intense cannot be used while wearing contact lenses: due to the viscosity of the preparation, application of the product may result in temporary blurring of vision.
Currently, no information is available regarding the use of Hylo Dual Intense in children or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Based on current knowledge, Hylo Dual Intense can be used in children over 6 years of age or during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Hylo Dual Intense is suitable for long-term use; however, as with any condition, if symptoms persist (for example, for more than two weeks), it is advisable to consult an ophthalmologist.
Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to one of the components and in children under 6 years of age.
If you use Hylo Dual Intense more frequently (for example more than 10 times a day) or in case of more serious complaints, you should consult an ophthalmologist to have your eyes examined regularly.
Do not use while wearing contact lenses.
Do not use after the expiration date.
Keep out of reach of children.
