Description
Sterile eye drops.
Ophthalmic solution, sterile, isotonic, lipid-based thanks to the presence of medium chain triglycerides (MCT). Also present are sodium hyaluronate (hydrophilic polymer) and iodine as povidone-iodine. MCTs interact with the external lipid layer of the tear film and form a protective film that prevents hyperevaporation of the aqueous component of the tear film, retains water and helps keep the ocular surface stable and hydrated. Povidone-iodine guarantees the sterility of the solution before and after opening the bottle.
Indicated as an adjuvant in the treatment of the ocular surface in case of infections, even recurrent ones. It can also be used in the preparation of the surgical field.
How to use
Wash your hands thoroughly. Remove the bottle from the cardboard box and remove the plastic safety seal on the neck of the bottle. Unscrew the cap. With your non-dominant hand, hold and support the animal's head, tilting it slightly backwards. With the other hand, hold the bottle in a vertical position above the eye with the tip pointing downwards. Instill 1 or 2 drops of solution in the eye to be treated, lightly squeezing the plastic bottle and taking care not to touch the eye with the tip of the bottle. The recommended dosage is 1-2 drops in the eye to be treated 4/5 times a day or as advised by your veterinarian.
Warnings
Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged or not perfectly closed when first opened.
Do not use the product in case of specific hypersensitivity to one of the components. Do not ingest the product.
Keep out of reach of children.
Conservation
Store away from light and heat sources.
Validity with intact packaging: 24 months.
Validity after opening: 8 days.
