Description
Medical device useful for the treatment of chronic or acute constipation or irritable bowel syndrome associated with constipation. Useful for counteracting excessive production of gastrointestinal gas.
It works by softening the stool and promoting the regularization of intestinal function and motility through a combination of osmotic effects.
Macrogol 3350, thanks to its affinity with water, helps absorb the water present in the lumen, increasing the fecal volume, making the stool softer and easier to expel without causing cramps, abdominal pain or emergency conditions.
The water-soluble fiber in psyllium creates a gel that hydrates the stool.
Thanks to this ability, Psyllium promotes the regularization of intestinal function, stimulating peristalsis, reducing intestinal transit time and helping evacuation. The presence of simethicone in the formulation, thanks to its anti-foaming action, is effective in absorbing gastrointestinal gas associated with constipation.

Ingredients
Macrogol 3350, psyllium, simethicone; excipients: citric acid, sucralose, acesulfame K, flavourings (orange and safflower), silicon dioxide, sodium bicarbonate, sunflower lecithin.

How to use
Children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 sachet per day.
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 sachets per day.
Before using the product in children, it is advisable to seek the advice of a doctor.
Dissolve each sachet well in a full glass of water and drink immediately.
Since psyllium has the ability to create a gel, the product should be taken between meals with an adequate amount of water (at least a full glass of water, two glasses, if possible), to prevent it from swelling in the throat and causing choking.
It is recommended to drink at least 2 liters of water per day for adults, and at least 1-1.5 liters per day for children and adolescents. If the conditions persist after taking the product, consult your doctor.

Warnings
Do not take Lubrimil if you have:
- intestinal obstruction or stenosis;
- intestinal perforation;
- inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis).
There is no experience with taking it during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so it is recommended to take Lubrimil only on medical advice.
In patients with renal impairment, no dosage adjustment is necessary.
Use the product until symptoms resolve. Repeated use may be necessary in cases of refractory or chronic constipation.
This type of constipation can be caused by painkillers (opioids) and drugs for the treatment of Parkinson's disease (anticholinergics) or appear in the case of diseases such as multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's. In these cases, do not take Lubrimil for more than 30 consecutive days, if the symptoms persist consult your doctor.
Do not use the product under 6 years of age. Before using the product in children, it is advisable to consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Do not take the product after the expiry date printed on the box.
Do not take in case of intolerance to the product. Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and polyethylene glycol. Each sachet is for single use and should be opened only at the time of use. Simethicone may interfere with the effect of some reagents used in diagnostics, such as guaiac gum.

Conservation
Store Lubrimil in a dry place away from direct sources of heat or light. Open the sachet only at the time of use.
Keep the device below 25°C.
The expiry date refers to the product in its intact packaging and stored correctly.
