Description
Sterile, impermeable barrier: protects the insertion site and the wound from external contaminants, such as viruses and bacteria and from blood and body fluids: laboratory tests show its effectiveness as a barrier, starting from viruses with a diameter of 27 nm, provided that the dressing remains intact.
The breathable film allows the exchange between oxygen and water vapor.
Easy and safe positioning, thanks to the frame application system, minimizes the risk of the dressing sticking to gloves or itself.
The transparent dressing allows continuous visualization of the IV insertion site.
The dressing follows the contours of the skin for greater patient comfort.
Provides antimicrobial action for up to 7 days.
Radiologically clear. Tegaderm products can be safely left on the patient’s skin during radiotherapy treatments. The dressing does not act as a bolus material, with or without 3M Cavilon Non-Stinging Barrier Film (CNSBF).
It can be used to maintain a moist wound environment to facilitate autolytic debridement.
Helps prevent skin deterioration caused by friction.
