Description
Class III medical device compliant with EEC directive 93/42.
Highly absorbent sterile dressing made of calcium alginate fibres, carboxymethylcellulose and silver released in the form of an ionic complex.
For use on moderate to heavily exuding wounds.
Sterilized by gamma rays.

Components
1. Calcium alginate with a high concentration of G units (glucuronic acid) and 15% carboxymethylcellulose (CMC).
2. Ionic silver compound (zirconium phosphate, hydrogen, sodium, silver, weight Ag (0.38-0.58%) which releases silver ions upon contact with wound exudate.

Warnings
For external use only.
Do not use in patients sensitive to the components. The product is generally well tolerated.
In case of infected wounds, use under medical supervision is recommended.
It is not indicated for the containment of heavy bleeding (hemorrhages).
Avoid direct application to dry or lightly exuding wounds.
The dressing may adhere if used on dry or lightly exuding wounds. If the dressing adheres to the wound bed and is difficult to remove, moisten it with sterile saline solution before removing it.
The action of the dressing may be compromised by excessive use of petrolatum-based ointments.
Avoid contact with conductive electrodes or gels during electronic measurements, e.g., electrocardiograms (ECG) and electroencephalograms (EEG).
The dressing must be removed before a patient undergoes Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
In case of clinical infection, local application of silver does not exclude the need for systemic therapy or other appropriate treatment of the infection.
Do not use if the protective cover is damaged or opened before use.
Not resterilizable.

Store in a dry place, away from sunlight, extreme humidity, dust, pollutants, etc.
