Mepilex Lite
Description
CE Medical Device. A thin, highly conformable foam dressing that absorbs exudate and maintains a moist wound environment. The Safetac layer adheres to the wound edges, preventing exudate from leaking onto the surrounding skin, thus minimizing the risk of maceration. The Safetac layer ensures atraumatic dressing changes. Mepilex Lite can be cut to fit wounds of various shapes and locations. The dressing consists of:
• a wound contact layer made of soft silicone (Safetac)
• a thin absorbent pad made of polyurethane foam
• a breathable, yet waterproof, external film.
How to use
Clean the wound according to standard procedures. Dry the surrounding area thoroughly. Remove the protective films and apply the adhesive side to the wound. Do not pull the dressing during application. For best results, Mepilex Lite should cover at least 2 cm of healthy skin around the wound perimeter. Trim the product if necessary. If necessary, secure Mepilex Lite with a bandage or other means.
Mepilex Lite can be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and surrounding area and as directed by your healthcare professional. A change in wound care often results in increased exudate levels. Carefully monitor the wound condition and increase the frequency of dressing changes.
Characteristics
• Minimizes pain and trauma during dressing changes.
• Remains in place, facilitating the application of compression, containment or fixing bandages.
• Promotes patient comfort; it is thin and very comfortable to wear.
• It is not necessary to remove it during radiotherapy when using commonly applied energy ranges and doses.
• Particularly suitable for use under elastic compression bandages.
• Can be cut to fit various wound shapes and difficult-to-dress areas.
• It can be left in place for several days depending on the condition of the wound.
• Can be lifted and repositioned without losing its adhesion properties.
• Low risk of skin irritation and allergies.
Warnings
If you experience an infection, consult your doctor. Do not use Mepilex Lite if you are using substances containing oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide solutions. Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged. Sterility is guaranteed only if the packaging is intact. This product is for single use only. Do not resterilize.

Store below 35°C in a dry place. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
