Description
Medical product designed for the treatment of negative middle ear pressure, to compensate and normalize middle ear ventilation.
A medical product for natural pressure equalization in cases of middle ear ventilation disorders. Otoglobe SOFT consists of a nasal adapter and 6 balloons, whose elasticity allows it to be used even by children over 2 years old.
How to use
1. Carefully insert the attached balloon onto the foot of the plastic adapter so that it sits firmly inside the notch on the edge.
2. Inflate the balloon by inserting the rounded end of the nose adapter into one nostril and closing the other nostril with a finger.
Inhale deeply, keeping your mouth closed. Blow up the balloon until it's the size of a grapefruit.
3. You should feel a “click” in your ear or at least notice a change.
4. If children have difficulty inflating the balloon, it is recommended that an adult inflate the balloon first.
It should be used three times a day: morning, afternoon, and evening. Treatment typically lasts 2-3 weeks. In cases of chronic effusion, the Otoglobe SOFT balloon can be used for several weeks or months. In this case, your doctor should perform regular ear exams to monitor the improvements achieved. One pack of Otoglobe SOFT balloons (6 balloons) is sufficient for a 3-week treatment. Each Otoglobe SOFT balloon should not be used for more than 4 days. When starting treatment, it is advisable to record the date of use of the 6 balloons in the table below.
The nose adapter should be cleaned after each use with water or a mild soap solution or, after repeated uses, briefly boiled.
Warnings
Please note that the Otoglobe SOFT balloon should not be used in cases of acute inflammation of the middle ear (otitis media) or nosebleeds. It is also recommended to discontinue use if you have a severe cold, to prevent germs from entering the middle ear. Avoid contact between the balloon and skin or mucous membranes (cover the affected areas) if you have a latex allergy. An adult should continuously supervise the child while using the device.
The Otoglobe medical device must always be used by only one patient and is not intended for reuse on another patient.
Conservation
Store in a dry place, away from direct exposure to sunlight and at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.
