Non-absorbent litter beadsfor the collection of feline urine.
Pearl litter for feline urine collection
The product allows for quick, simple, and completely painless collection (no need for a urinary catheter) of your cat's urine. Simply use the product like regular litter, pouring the entire contents into the litter box after thoroughly emptying and cleaning it.
The product pearls are designed not to absorb urine which, settling at the bottom, can be easily collected using the pipette and stored in the special test tube included in the package.
Read the instructions and warnings carefully
A) Empty the litter box of the litter used daily.
B) Clean the litter box thoroughly using hot water and detergent to remove any impurities and reduce the risk of contamination.
C) Remove the non-sterile test tube and pipette from the bag.
D) Pour the entire contents of the bag into the litter box.
E) Put the litter box back in its usual place.
As soon as the cat has urinated, it is necessary to proceed immediately with the collection as follows:
Tilt the litter box to one side (image 1) to collect the urine in one corner, then proceed with the collection using the pipette included in the package, taking care to only touch the urine with the tip (to reduce the risk of contamination) and trying to collect as much liquid as possible.
Once collected, place the sample liquid in the test tube provided (image 2), closing it carefully.
It is recommended to mark the sample with the date of collection and the name of the owner.
Warnings
To ensure the reliability of the results, it is recommended that after evacuation, the sample be collected and delivered to the veterinarian or analysis laboratory as quickly as possible.
If feces are present, remove them before proceeding with the urine collection to avoid contamination.
The sample can be stored in the refrigerator for a short period of time (maximum 1/2 days).
