RODIUM CT
Description
Rodenticide.
Ready-to-use paste bait.
How to use
One to three applications in 10 days.
If more than one bait station is required, the minimum distance between the bait stations must be 5 meters.
1) Before use, read and observe the product information, any information enclosed with the product or provided at the point of sale.
2) Before using rodenticides, non-chemical control methods should be considered. Trapping, in particular, should be considered for the control of occasional voles and rats. The use of biocides is the last resort for these pest control and should always be minimized.
3) Rodents' preferred locations (pathways, nesting sites, feeding troughs) inside and around buildings should be determined, for example, by placing small amounts of poison-free bait, such as oat flakes. Chewing marks and droppings are also indicative of rodent activity. Keep in mind that poison-free baits must be removed before effective rodent control measures are implemented.
4) Remove any food that is easily accessible to rodents (e.g., spilled grain or food scraps). Regardless of the above, do not clear the infested area immediately before treatment, as this will only disturb the rodent population and make it more difficult for them to accept the bait.
5) Bait stations should be placed where rodent activity has been observed (e.g. passageways, nesting sites, feeders, etc.).
6) Where possible, bait stations should be fixed to the floor or other structures.
7) Do not open the tea bags containing the bait.
8) Place bait stations out of reach of children, birds, pets, livestock and other non-target animals.
9) Position bait stations away from food, drinks, animal feed, utensils or surfaces they come into contact with.
10) Do not place bait stations near water drainage systems where they may come into contact with water.
11) Do not eat, drink, or smoke while using this product. Wash your hands and any directly exposed skin after use.
12) Before rodent control measures are implemented, all users of the establishments, buildings, and surrounding areas where baits will be placed must be informed of the risks to humans, domestic animals, and wildlife. They must also be informed of the measures to be taken in the event of poisoning, spillage of bait, or discovery of dead rodents (according to the product label).
13) The campaign must end immediately after there is no further consumption of bait.
14) Remove any remaining bait and bait stations at the end of the treatment period.
15) Undamaged bait stations can be reused.
16) To avoid reinfestation after a successful control operation, adopt the following measures:
- remove or cover food and water sources (food, garbage, etc.).
- Eliminate debris and waste that could be used as hiding places. Vegetation in the immediate vicinity of buildings should be removed where necessary.
- to the extent possible, make any access points to buildings (e.g. cracks, loopholes, catwalks, drains) inaccessible to rats.
17) Place bait stations in areas not subject to flooding.
18) Replace bait in bait stations if it has been damaged by water or contaminated by dirt.
19) Bait stations should be checked only 5-7 days after starting treatment and then at least once a week to verify whether the bait has been accepted, whether the bait stations are intact, and to remove rodent bodies. Provide new bait when necessary.
Warnings
1) Keep out of reach of children.
2) Do not use anticoagulant rodenticides as permanent baits (e.g. for the prevention of rodent infestation or to detect rodent activity).
3) Product information (e.g. label and/or package leaflet) must clearly show that:
- the product must be used in suitable tamper-proof bait stations (e.g. "use only in tamper-proof bait stations").
- users must appropriately label bait stations with the information indicated in section 5.3 of the supplementary protection certificate (e.g. "bait stations labelled according to product recommendations").
4) Bait stations must be used. Baits must be secured inside the bait stations to prevent rodents from carrying them, unless this is not possible due to the bait formulation or bait station design. Placing bait without bait stations poses a high risk of poisoning for humans, pets, and wildlife.
5) Use of this product should eliminate rodents within 35 days. Product information (e.g., label and/or package insert) should clearly recommend that, if there is a suspected lack of efficacy after completion of treatment (i.e., if rodent activity is still observed), the user should consult the product supplier or contact a pest control service.
6) During the treatment, look for dead rodents and remove them, at least every time you inspect the bait stations.
7) Dispose of dead rodents in municipal waste or at a processing plant. Avoid direct contact.
8) Do not apply the product directly into the burrows.
9) Place the product away from food, drinks, animal feed, utensils or surfaces with which they come into contact.
