DescriptionOphthalmic product for dogs, cats, non-DPA horses and pet rabbits consisting of a sterile, isotonic saline solution with hyaluronic acid and liposomes indicated for lubricating, hydrating, refreshing and protecting the ocular and periocular surfaces.
Thanks to the dispenser, it creates a delicate nebulization of the solution, suitable for both open and closed eyes, also providing relief to the eyelid and periocular area in case of dryness, dehydration and hypersensitivity.
Hyaluronic acid, applied topically, is a polymer capable of lubricating, hydrating, and protecting the ocular surface, stabilizing the aqueous layer of the tear film. Phospholipid matrix liposomes (phospholipid bilayers) are double-layered phospholipid structures that perform a powerful hydrating effect and help prevent the rapid evaporation of water molecules from the tear film, promoting its stability and persistence on the ocular surface.
Since it does not contain benzalkonium chloride, chlorhexidine, parabens or thimerosal, it is highly tolerable and suitable even for frequent and prolonged applications.
How to use
- Remove the cap and hold the bottle firmly in your dominant hand so that your thumb or forefinger is firmly on the dispenser, taking care not to cover the exit hole.
- Hold the animal's head still by holding its muzzle with your non-dominant hand.
- Hold the bottle approximately 10 cm away from your eye and apply firm pressure to the dispenser.
- It is recommended to apply two sprays two or three times a day.
- Reward the animal after application.
Components
Purified water, soy phospholipids (liposomes) 5%, polyethylene glycol-400 (PEG-400), boric acid, sodium chloride, sodium tetraborate, disodium edetate, carboxy methyl beta glucan, polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB), sodium hyaluronate 0.02%.
Warnings
- Ophthalmic product for external veterinary use.
- Avoid touching the eye with the tip of the bottle.
- Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the package.
- Allow 10-15 minutes to pass between instilling Siccostil Spray and any instillation of drugs or products for external ophthalmic use.
- Do not use in case of subjective hypersensitivity or known incompatibility to any component of the preparation.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not dispose of the container in the environment after use.
Conservation
Store at temperatures between 5 and 35°C.
Shelf life after opening: 3 months.
